I‘ve been personal training for nearly 20 years and I love it!
When I was a little girl I watched an aerobics instructor at my local leisure centre. She was teaching a huge class and everyone was enjoying it, including the instructor. I instantly knew I wanted to be a part of this.
Keeping a positive mind set is something that I really feel runs side by side with exercise and I approach everything in life with a ‘How can we make this better’ attitude. This certainly helps me deal with sleepless nights and the odd tantrum I get at home from my two gorgeous children!
Various courses I go on keep me up to date with the best fitness trends. In fact, having two young children has meant I’m now keen to pass on my knowledge of pre & post natal fitness too.
We live in such a wonderful part of the world, with both the beach and the New Forest on our doorstep, so I like nothing better than getting out and enjoying the scenery with my family in my spare time. Pottering around in my garden whilst my crazy cat whizzes about the place is also a favourite way to spend time. I even grow my own vegetables. Well, my husband grows the veg and I eat it!
I’m very proud to be able to say that, by completing things such as running the London Marathon, cycling events and dog sledding in the arctic, I have raised over £20,000 for charity. I’m also proud to say I’ve trained teams to complete events that have raised money for the Oakhaven hospice
I also love catching up with friends over a nice meal and a glass of wine or two!
